Finally, after much struggle, I now have reliable internet at home. Now I can not only be punctual with this feature but maybe even write some real articles from time to time (maybe). Did you miss me? (Feel free to lie.)
This weeks song is kind of an oddity in that it is a song that I normally wouldn’t pay much mind too. Like many people, though, I am the type to closely relate events and experiences with particular songs. I also tend to do that with well loved pieces of media. In this case the piece of media was a video game call Mirror’s Edge. This was a game that I found visually stunning and experientially different than anything I had played before. Add onto that a compelling female protagonist that seemed to defy all the stereotypes of video game heroines. The experience stuck with me and when the final credits rolled it was accompanied by this song from Swedish singer Lisa Miskovsky. The song served to wrap up and reiterate the whole of the experience. It’s a pretty decent song on it’s own too.
